1992 Championnat de Belgique des Superbikes

1991's runner-up - veteran Richard Hubin - entered 1992 with an early advantage; the previously dominant Michel Simul had left the VZM Honda team and struggled with consistency in his first few races on a Kawasaki. Hubin took advantage on his familiar Ducati, winning four of six races on the short circuits of France and the cramped street tracks at Huy and Ostende. The huge 39-point lead he had built was enough to keep him at the top of the points even when the fragile Ducati began to falter and Simul found form on the ultra-fast road circuits. Hubin ended 1992 14 points clear of consistent points-scorer Patric Orban, also Ducati-mounted, while 3-time winner Pol Ramon had his hopes dashed by mechanical failures mid-season.
